Scott Hoffman
Game developer
My name is Scott. I consider myself to be a chill and down to earth person, I'm always interested in just having a good time with people and creating games has become a really good outlet for me. I graduated from the Vancouver Film School with a degree in Game Design with 3 awards, and am seeking the next step in my career.

I got interested in game development from a really young age, I very quickly decided on the career path and started developing right from the age of 12. The first project I ever did was using the GameMaker engine. It was a simple platformer, but I still remember my sister running to my mother telling her how cool it was that I made a playable game. Ever since then, I've been developing games driven by the joy of seeing people enjoy them.

During my time as a developer, I've learned a lot of new skills and had a lot of valuable experiences. While most of my experience has been solo, I've had the pleasure of both working in teams and well as leading them for IVy as well as Home is Where the Haunt Is. I join a few 48 game jams a year and have entered a few solo projects that have been met with a lot of praise!
I've used both Unity and Unreal, though my Unity experience far exceeds any other engine. My skills in C# are a lot stronger than C++ and Javascript, but having a working knowledge of all 3. I prefer working with Unity so I've practiced developing in it more than anything else, but I'm capable of working in other environments as well.
