Final build

Ivy is a third person shooter game in which the main character Ivy, who is equipped only with her trusty bow, must defeat Tempus the Elemental Titan of the four seasons.

Ivy was developed in 4 months with a team of 6 at VFS 2018.

Things I learned working on Ivy:

  • Controlling physics-based projectiles for Ivy's bow

  • Physics predictions for lobbing throws aimed at the player

  • Building an AI state machines

  • How to use Mechanim (Built in Unity animator)

  • UI code

  • Object pooling

Other tasks I completed on Ivy

  • Implemented art, animation, and vfx assets

  • Created character controller for Ivy which consists of standard movement, a rolling dodge, bow attacks, and an ultimate ability

  • Created 12 attacks with distinct differences with 3 attacks made for each of the 4 seasons

  • Implemented menu functionality

  • Created an audio managing tool for the sound team
